Woodside Making Places

Queens Cross Housing Association

An ambitious vision that will transform Woodside, creating a vibrant and multi-functional green infrastructure network throughout the neighbourhood. It includes renewed pedestrian areas, cycling facilities and routes, biodiverse gardens and street trees, sustainable rainwater drainage, varied opportunities for play and leisure, and edible landscapes.

Latest update: 17th May 2024

Construction work is in full progress on the Woodside Making Places project!

You will have seen the work being carried out by MacKenzie Construction Ltd. happening around the Cedar Street area. New paving, furniture, bike stores, mobility scooter stores and play equipment is being installed.

New trees, shrubs and edible planting have recently been planted in the area so that they start growing in Spring 2024. The current phase of work in the Cedar Street is due to complete in autumn 2024.

We are now working on designs for Phase 2, which will revitalise the green spaces of Raglan Street, Braid Square and Unity Place. Subject to final confirmation of funding, construction work in these areas is planned to commence in early 2025.

If you have any questions or wish to share your views, please get in touch with us on 0808 143 2002 or email contactus@qcha.org.uk.
