Braid Street

2.3.jpg

An improved green space, changing use from predominantly car parking to a key active travel link with an orchard and fruit garden for fruit bushes such as currants, rhubarb, apples and raspberry. Car parking is relocated onto Braid Street; new wide shared footpath / cycleway with avenue tree planting lining the route alongside the fruit garden.

Prioritising people walking and people on bikes, the green spaces enables a closer relationship with nature. The orchard planting and fruiting bushes will provide food for humans and visiting birds and animals.
