Unity Place

A redundant grass area associated with the car parking is turned into a green route from St. Peter’s Path to Braid Street. The space is transformed with a new accessible route winding through this sheltered garden, creating small garden rooms with grass lawns for sitting and playing.

Cracked and bumpy surfacing replaced and a focus on greening up at ground level with new planting beneath the trees. Local play space located in the existing green space next to St George’s Road.

Animating an unused grass area, with new planting, seating and steps to deal with the rise from St.Peter’s Path to the homes on Braid Street as an accessible route for all. The planted social spaces provide interest at ground level and when viewed from above.

Lawn areas for lounging and playing intertwined with sculptural elements.
